Deepening the bench for sustainable leadership in the built environment
For a company with the rich history and high ambition of this global manufacturer of building materials, longevity and sustainability are key – and for that they needed a deep bench of agile and aligned leaders. Over our five-year partnership, we have helped this organisation enrich their leadership capability – from individual development to team collaboration – and help them in their global ambitions.

The nature of this organisation’s operations means they have very distinct and autonomous divisions. Learning to effectively collaborate and live a holistic, shared organisational mindset was a significant priority for them, and played a big part of in our programme design. This strategic priority wasn’t just about the bottom line, it was also about finding a way to make progress in their environmental sustainability commitment.
Action
We designed a 6-month leadership programme for cohorts of 25 leaders with executive-level potential. The delivery took place across two facilitated face-to-face workshops, virtual action learning sets and webinars to engender leader-to-leader dialogues.
EQi 360s also played an important role, as a continuous development of emotional intelligence across the programme took place. This element was designed to improve empathy and cross-cultural awareness to build towards that shared mindset.
